A Tag of Randomicity

It's time for another tag! Allison, @ The Art of Storytelling tagged me in A Tag of Randomicity.

Here are the rules.
~ Paste the button onto your blog post.

~ Leave a new list of questions (or just pass on the question list you answered) and tag a few people of your random choice (and say why you tagged them, if you have time!) (Be original and nonsensical in your question-creativity – make the blogging world a cheerful place.  And be disastrously random.)
~Answer the questions of the person who tagged you – make it all super random and interesting.

1. How did you (the tagged) meet me (the tagger)?

I met you (Alison) via my blog when you left a comment!

2. What do you consider your quirkiest trait?

So, you know how people eat spaghetti noodles with pasta sauce? Well, I usually eat brown rice instead of noodles. It's weird, but delicious.

3. If you could host a party with all of your favorite characters, who would you invite and what antics would transpire?  (Yes, I borrowed this from Grace.)

Sophie Hatter would astonish everyone by arriving in a moving castle. Lizzie Bennet probably be the life of the party. Mr. Darcy wouldn't, since he doesn't easily converse with people he has never met. Mel would probably end up talking politics with Llew, since they're both ruling countries. Seyonne is a really thoughtful person, so he'd make sure to talk to everyone. Sir Percy would be horrified by the lack of cravats, but he'd make everything really fun. Not sure what Sam Gamgee would do; enjoy the food, perhaps. Miss Marple and Amy Dorrit would have pleasant chat. And Mina might have to leave early because she needs to be so many places at once. Some of these characters have assassins or kidnappers after them, so I hope the party would go off without an interruption. It most likely wouldn't.

4. What was your most epic moment?  Feel free to exaggerate-- I mean, elaborate.

The time I was able to take not one, but two staples out of papers using nothing but my fingers. No staple remover needed! It was extremely epic.

5. Where is your family from?

Family like ancestors? Northern Europe, Scotland and England. More recently though, the Pacific Northwest.

6. What will you title the movie version of your biography, and who will play you in it?

Gobsmacked: What Nobody Told me About Adulting. I don't know who'd play me...

7. If a cloaked stranger with poorly cut hair invited you to help return the One Ring to Mordor, how soon could you be ready, and what would you bring?

I could probably leave in a few hours. I tend to overthink things though, and would end up way over-packing. I would take:

  • camping gear
  • warm clothes, stout boots, etc.
  • first aid kit
  • food
  • more food
  • a recurve bow, except that I don't have one
  • my camera so I could take several hundred photos of Middle Earth
  • maybe a certain trilogy by Tolkien so I would know what to do next
  • lots of hair ties, because there's nothing more annoying than your hair getting in your face all the time

8. Which two characters would you happily play matchmaker for?  (Note: they can't be from the same book.)

Tirian from The Last Battle by C.S. Lewis, and Rebekah from Ivanhoe, by Sir Walter Scott. They'd be perfect for each other.

9. If you could brag that you had read any book without actually having to read it, which book would you choose?

The Book of Kells. Because it would sound really cool to say, “I've read the Book of Kells.”

10. And finally, what was your favorite blog post you ever wrote?

Probably The Ultimate Guide to Eating and Reading. It was a fun post to write, and I thought about it off and on for a long time before I actually wrote it.

I've nominated a lot of bloggers I know for various tags recently, so I won't officially tag anyone, but if you'd like to do the tag please do!!

  1. This is so much fun! Very interesting. Have a great weekend, Candice!

    1. Thanks, Anne Maire! It was a fun post to put together!

  2. Love it! I promise I haven't forgotten about your favorite movie characters tag. I'll do it soon! : )

    1. Thanks! Looking forward to see what screen characters you choose! :)

  3. Saaaame for the ancestors thing! So much Scottish in me, and then teeny bits of the rest of Europe. XD

This looks like fun! :D I may have to steal it for the future. X)

    1. Please do! It's a fun tag! Thanks for stopping by! :)

  4. This was really fun! I especially like question number 8, so creative! :)

  5. Thanks! It was a lot of fun to put together. Question 8 was a bit of a challenge, it seems like everyone gets married off at the end of a book, but I finally thought of two characters who didn't!
